“I have chosen you, dear friends,” to followers He said. “You believe you’ve chosen Me, but I chose you instead. I knew you in your mother’s womb, yea long before your birth. I chose you as my holy Bride before I formed the earth.

Every bone and eyelash I did fashion by My Hand, Long before I sent the first wave crashing on the sand. Every hair was counted and your every thought was known, Long before you felt My touch and claimed Me for your own.

I saw you ‘neath the fig tree, and you marveled at the thought That I could know so plain a thing. By then your heart was caught. But I created fig trees, this specific one for you To sit beneath and give you shade, as I knew you would do.

You four thought you were just tired of fishing every day For food that was not lately prone to haply swim your way. But I created fish, you see, and I do guide their course. By your free will you followed me. I took you not by force.

And you, I knew it would not take too long for you to see That sitting there at customs was not all you hoped it’d be. Oh, I delight to orchestrate this planet I have made To give my chosen pleasure as they follow plans I’ve laid.

And you! How hard you fought me with your heart as dark as night! Damascus road remembers. You were blinded by the Light. But you and I know different–it was not the sun, my friend. You heard My voice, and so were changed to go where I would send.

And YOU. How many times did you just happenchance to hear Someone tell you how loved no craved to draw you near? My chosen hear my voice, and they delight to share, you see, Of my great love and how I choose who freely follow me.
